Ministries
The Protestant Campus Ministry, sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, offers students, faculty and staff the opportunity to be part of a community that is seeking to grow in their personal faith journey and to help make a difference in the world by helping others. We want to share our faith with you and be nourished by your faith. We strive to provide a listening and supportive presence on your life journey by offering pastoral care for anyone on campus.
We gather throughout the school year to share meals, to celebrate liturgy and the sacraments, and to engage in community service and outreach to the wider world. There are opportunities for faith sharing and discussion groups as well as a LGBTQ+ Christian Spirituality Group. The Protestant Campus Ministry stands for the inclusion of all and extends a radical welcome to the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome regardless of self-image, life-story, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Music is strongly integrated into the liturgical life of our community. The mission of our Contemporary Music Ministry is to lead our assembly in song as it gathers for worship on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and to enhance the beauty of our Sunday morning worship experience. Our liturgies are enhanced by the talents and gifts of many people in our community who lead us in song. We are always looking for new folks to share their musical talents. If you sing, play the drums, flute, trumpet, saxophone or any other instruments, we welcome you to share you talent with our parish.
Rehearsals are usually held twice a month on a Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises.” (Psalm 98: 4)

We invite adults who are interested in gathering together as believers in God to read, discuss, pray, listen to music, and to just socialize with other LGBTQ Christians to be part of this ministry.
This is an informal, but structured gathering where we usually listen to a song and read a short passage about a spiritual topic, then have a discussion together, sharing what’s going on in our lives and in our hearts in relation to the topic. Afterward, there are refreshments, and we eat and chat amongst ourselves.
No commitment - come once, come each meeting, come whenever you can! All are welcome - Protestant or Catholic, whether your faith is new or old, whether you belong to a church or not - all are welcome!
This group meets twice a month on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Jesus came to serve. We can’t follow Jesus by just hanging around. If we truly want to follow Jesus, we need to serve one another.
We strive to be the hands, feet, voice and heart of Jesus by reaching out to those who need help by putting our faith into action. Our Outreach Ministry is the heart of the church. In this ministry, we serve the needs of our neighbors in our community and in the world by building relationships and responding to human need.
Our vision is to love God by loving other people and we do this by getting outside the walls of our church as we share God’s love by reaching out to those around us.
We collect food and supplies for local food pantries, serve meals at homeless shelters and we provide Thanksgiving meals for families in our local schools.
We know that there is much work to be done, so we also partner with other ministries and organizations. Currently, we are partnering with Episcopal City Mission and their Mutual Aid Network.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” Matthew 25:35-36

Hospitality Ministry
Our hospitality ministers help us to be a welcoming environment where people feel connected. Our Hospitality help to create a vibrant, welcoming environment at St. Peter’s, especially for those who are checking us out for the first time. Opening a door and greeting someone is a very important thing to do because it helps dispel fear and creates a welcoming atmosphere of warmth and acceptance. As a greeter you are helping to form a spirit of welcome in our family of faith.
Welcoming Ministry
Volunteers in our Welcoming Ministry reach out by phone or e-mail to new members to welcome them to the community and invite them to community events. This is a very important ministry that helps to strengthen connections to our community.
