BLUE CHRISTMAS: An Online Service of Hope when the Holidays HURT…

The holiday season is such a difficult time for many people because this is a time when we are supposed to celebrate hope, love, joy and peace. But, for so many people, especially in a pandemic, this is a time of depression, sadness and grief.
Our Blue Christmas service is held each year around the Winter Solstice, the darkest time of the year. In the darkness, we long for the coming of light.
This virtual sacred space is open to anyone who is in need of support. There will be scripture readings and music and prayer.

We welcome those who are struggling with:

…anxiety or fear
…loneliness or isolation
…the death of a spouse, child, family member or loved one
…the loss of a family structure
…the loss of a relationship due to divorce, separation or distance
…the loss of hope, joy and meaning in life
…the loss of health or the health of a loved one
…the loss of a job or financial security
…the loss of purpose and meaning
